Painting Demonstration by Ingrid Lohr Matuszewski

Ingrid Lohr Matuszewski is a Northern Virginia-based artist with deep roots in Madison County, Virginia. Her family’s history dates back to 1740’s, and Criglersville, the headquarters of the Madison County VA Plain Air Festival, is named after an ancestor. Ingrid has a strong connection to Graves’ Mountain, a few miles down the road. “I call Graves’ Mountain Lodge one of my happy places.”  Ingrid draws on her connections and memories of the area to inspire both her plein-air and home studio painting of Virginia’s beautiful countryside and farms, as seen in her series, Clore Road and Graves’ Mountain.
